THE EVENT:

On Saturday & Sunday between the hours of 11AM and 4PM, The Annual NH Maple Weekend will be boiling. At the urging of Notchland guests, our traditions in Crawford Notch will continue… with a few new twists.

Something Old –

Across the state, sugar makers open their doors to the public to demonstrate the centuries old craft of maple sugaring. Here in the Mount Washington Valley we have several hospitable maple producers of New Hampshire for you to meet. Discover how their operation works, ask your questions… some may have free samples of fresh syrup, maple candies, coffee or doughnuts. Come taste why pure New Hampshire maple syrup has long been a delicious harbinger of spring.

Something New –

From Crawford Notch to the Conways and beyond. we have gathered clues, identified special maple partners and compiled a compendium of ” Maple Magic Markers”. Much to the dismay of the Notchland proprietors some of the information may have been “messed up”. With the information provided, you must uncover and record your corrected findings on the misinformed manifest and return with it to the inn before dinner. The person most proficient in “Unmessing the Maple Magic Markers” will be rewarded with a $50 credit to their Notchland settlement for the weekend. (Should there be multiple successful participants, a winner will be drawn from the names of those with correct answers.)

Something Borrowed –

Our Maple Magic theme 5 course dinner will be served on Friday and Saturday at 7 PM. Each night a different dinner menu, but both will feature a choice at each course that includes maple as an ingredient. Our guests dinning with us this weekend can experience a new menu every night, but the theme menus will only be served one Friday and one Saturday.
